It sounds like a simple task to select and/or build a wheelchair ramp but there are all sorts of technical issues to consider such as the materials used and the angle and width of the ramp.
Materials used should provide safe levels of grip while being strong enough to support whatever loads are placed on them and the angle of the ramp and turning areas need to be manageable and both comfortable and safe to use.
